Discovery and Growth in a Nurturing Environment
The toddler years represent an incredible period of development and discovery. At East Valley Christian School, our Toddler Program creates a warm, secure environment where children ages 2-3 can explore their expanding world with confidence while building essential early learning skills, including support in potty training.
To increase program accessibility to all parents, we accept subsidized programs such as GoKids, Choices for Children, and CalWORKs, offer extended hours, and are closed only on national holidays.
Toddler Program Curriculum
Our toddler program features a curriculum specifically designed for young explorers, recognizing that toddlers are natural learners who thrive through hands-on experience, guided discovery, and active engagement with their environment alongside caring relationships with trusted adults. The comprehensive curriculum introduces beginning phonics, number concepts, and social development while focusing on fine motor skills through activities like puzzles, art experiences, and manipulative toys that develop the small muscles needed for writing and self-help skills. Additionally, the program emphasizes gross motor development, language development, and creative expression to support well-rounded growth.

Preschool Potty Training Support
Our Preschool Potty Training Support program is designed as a guided program for 2–3 year olds beginning their potty training journey, built on a strong partnership between our EVCS teachers and families to ensure consistent training across all environments. We implement this program through assigned routines where our teachers guide children with consistency and care, while maintaining a close family partnership by providing parents with shared potty training patterns to reinforce at home. Our approach includes positive reinforcement strategies where we celebrate each child's progress to build their confidence, and we follow a child-centered approach that allows training to move at each individual child's developmental pace. This program matters to us because we're building independence and confidence in our students early on, creating smooth transitions between home and school that benefit everyone, and most importantly, strengthening our family-school partnership as we work together in nurturing each child's growth and development.
Our Experienced Teachers & Caregivers
Our toddler classrooms feature a unique multi-generational teaching approach, where young, energetic teachers work alongside experienced educators—some of whom have been with our school for decades. This blend of innovation and wisdom provides your child with both the enthusiasm of youth and the patience that comes with experience. All teachers in our toddler program have specialized training in early childhood education, hold a degree from an accredited institution in the field, and demonstrate a genuine delight in working with toddlers. They maintain current CPR and First Aid certification, participate in ongoing professional development, and share a strong commitment to Christian values and character development.
