Navigating the Critical Middle Years with Purpose
Middle school represents a pivotal crossroads in a student's educational journey. At East Valley Christian School, we understand that these years are an unpredictable, delicate time as adolescents transition from elementary work to more challenging assignments and experiences while navigating significant physical, emotional, and social changes.
Our middle school program is specifically designed to provide the structure, support, and challenges students need during this critical developmental period. We believe that with the right guidance and opportunities, the middle school years can be a time of tremendous growth, discovery, and preparation for future success.
A Supportive Community
The foundation of our middle school program is a supportive community where students are known, valued, and guided:
- Small class sizes ensure personalized attention
- Advisory groups provide mentoring and social-emotional support
- Teachers who understand and appreciate the unique characteristics of middle school students
- Regular communication between teachers, students, and parents regarding achievements, behavior, and conduct
- A safe environment for taking academic risks and developing independence

Comprehensive Academic Program
Our language arts program builds strong literacy skills through systematic phonics, exposure to diverse literature, and focused writing instruction in narrative, informative, and opinion styles. Students also develop grammar, spelling, vocabulary, speaking, listening, research, and library skills to become effective communicators and critical thinkers.
