Building Strong Foundations for a Lifetime of Learning

The elementary years at East Valley Christian School provide a crucial foundation for academic success, spiritual growth, and character development. During these formative years, our students develop essential skills, establish positive learning habits, and begin to discover their unique God-given gifts and abilities.

A Nurturing Learning Environment

Our elementary program creates a safe, supportive atmosphere where students are known, valued, and challenged to reach their full potential. Small class sizes ensure that teachers can provide individual attention and tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Our classrooms are designed to be engaging spaces where students can explore, collaborate, and develop a genuine love for learning.

Comprehensive Academic Program

The elementary curriculum at EVCS is anchored by the BJU Press Curriculum, providing a rigorous academic foundation with a biblical worldview. Our program includes:

Enrichment Opportunities

Beyond core academics, our elementary students benefit from a variety of enrichment experiences:

Regular physical education classes develop motor skills, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits.

Spiritual Formation
Technology is thoughtfully integrated into the elementary curriculum to enhance learning and promote responsible digital citizenship. Students engage with age-appropriate digital tools and resources while developing keyboarding and basic computer skills. Educational software is used to reinforce core concepts, and supervised online research helps build critical thinking and information literacy. Throughout, students are guided in digital citizenship and online safety to ensure they use technology responsibly and ethically.
Spiritual development
Spiritual development is woven throughout the elementary experience at EVCS. Students receive daily Bible instruction with practical application and participate in weekly chapel services featuring age-appropriate worship. Prayer is integrated throughout the school day, and students are encouraged to engage in service projects and outreach opportunities. Character development rooted in biblical virtues is a consistent focus, helping students grow in faith and integrity.
Assessment and Communication
We believe in keeping parents well-informed about their child’s progress through regular progress reports and report cards, parent-teacher conferences, and access to a digital parent portal. We also use standardized testing to measure growth and achievement, and we prioritize open communication between home and school to ensure parents stay connected and engaged in their child’s education.
After School Program
Our After School Program extends the learning day from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, offering homework assistance and academic support alongside enrichment activities such as Spanish and coding. Children also enjoy physical activity and outdoor play, as well as structured games and activities, all under the supervision of caring EVCS staff members.

• Organizational skills and time management
